As a Terminologist and Language Lead at ZEISS Group, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's content strategy and ensuring consistency across all products and channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain linguistic style guides for different content types and channels, providing the foundation for data-driven consistency processes and automations.
  • Manage terminology workflows for German and English, from term suggestions and term mining activities to final release and publication to various channels.
  • Align with internal and external experts to ensure correct terminology is released and applied consistently across all relevant products and content-types.
  • Consult with and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on linguistic topics concerning the relevant source languages.
  • Collaborate with development teams and agile methodologies to drive process optimizations for terminology management.

About You

We are looking for a professional with 1-3 years of experience in a relevant position, with a focus on terminology work and/or management, or similar, ideally in the field of medical technology.

Requirements

  • Professional knowledge of terminology and linguistics.
  • Passion and experience to develop and drive process optimizations for terminology management with a focus on content consistency.
  • Passion for technology, and experience with terminology databases, meta data concepts, ontologies, and taxonomies.
  • Near-native language skills in German and English.
  • Experience in working with development teams and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in the application of translation management systems and linguistic tools.
  • Strong team spirit and communication skills.
  • Degree with a focus on terminology, translation, computer linguistics, language technology, technical writing, or convincing professional experience.
