International Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled International Underwriter to join our Facultative Reinsurance team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for negotiating and underwriting facultative reinsurance contracts with clients from various European countries.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate and underwrite facultative reinsurance contracts with clients from various European countries
- Review and analyze facultative risks in liability insurance, including contract negotiations
- Analyze the insurance and reinsurance market in various European countries
- Expand and maintain existing customer relationships
- Co-create innovative reinsurance concepts
- Participate in industry events and congresses to stay up-to-date with market developments
- Provide customer communication and support, as well as contract management
- Completed degree in economics or law, with commercial insurance training and a focus on liability insurance
- Initial experience in facultative primary insurance and/or reinsurance in the liability sector is desirable
- Proficient user skills in English, independent user skills in German, combined with strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly, approximately three to four times a year
- An international mindset, negotiation skills, and enthusiasm for cementing our market position among top reinsurers
