Job Summary

FLOCERT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Officer to join our Global Service Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, developing products, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and implement product development strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Fairtrade International, National Fairtrade Organisations, and Producer Networks, to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to inform product development and improvement.
  • Support the execution of product development cycles, including creating efficiencies and optimising existing systems.
  • Manage projects using diverse approaches, assessing best tools in classic and agile methodologies to drive success of strategic product development priorities.
  • Define metrics for understanding the engagement and impact of products and services, as well as the business case.
  • Contribute to process improvement, including project documentation.
  • Act as a product owner, representing the customer's interest and product in cross-functional meetings.
  • Provide business analysis, support research, and write memos or reports.
  • Liaise with FLOCERT units, including Customer Experience, Operations, IT, Finance, and Legal, and teams across the Fairtrade system, coordinating topics of product strategy and development.
  • Act as a guide for stakeholders through the full product life cycle from research and ideation in close collaboration with the Innovation Hub, through design, prototyping, and piloting, in close collaboration with the service coordination and delivery teams.
  • Draft decision papers for senior management.
  • Manage procurement processes, identifying and evaluating suitable vendors, negotiating with suppliers, and working with Legal to draw up contracts.
  • Check deliverables against established quality criteria.
  • Support new GSD team members' onboarding experience and provide guidance as agreed with the line manager.
  • Where GSD aspects are concerned, coordinate international and cross-functional projects.
  • Supervise interns and/or apprentices.

Requirements

  • Professional education as Management Assistant, Foreign/Multi-lingual Secretary, Office Clerk, Office Administrator, or any other related qualification.
  • University education in economics or a related field is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience managing projects in an international context, paired with 3+ years of experience in the field of product and/or service development.
  • Further education, training, or experience in the area of sales, communications, marketing, customer service, etc. is seen as an asset.
  • Experience as a product owner.
  • Experiences in project management in an international environment would be beneficial, as well as working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience in verification or certification is a plus.
  • Experience in training or facilitation of workshops is an asset.
  • Excellent business fluency in English and German, oral and written; further language skills in Spanish or French, etc. are beneficial.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Pro-active and flexible working attitude.
  • A reliable and diligent team player.
  • High commitment to the tasks and consistency in precise work output.
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and in the general use of information systems.
