Metrohm AG, a leading company in instrumental and chemical analysis, is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to lead our logistics team at our international headquarters in Herisau. As a key member of our Operations Management Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics department, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 40 logistics professionals, providing guidance and coaching to ensure the highest level of performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including export, production planning, and procurement, to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards, including ISO 9001.
- Manage budgets and costs, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, with a focus on logistics or supply chain management.
- Proven experience as a logistics manager or in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and process improvement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of logistics software, including Microsoft D365, LVS, SAP, and WHM.
