Job Description

The Philipps University of Marburg is seeking a highly qualified professor to strengthen and further develop subject didactics in the STEM subjects. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching biology didactics and will contribute to the development of innovative subject didactic research and teaching concepts. The professorship is part of a network of STEM subject didactics and will work closely with other departments to advance the teaching and research profile of the university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach biology didactics and develop innovative subject didactic research and teaching concepts
  • Contribute to the development of a network of STEM subject didactics
  • Work closely with other departments to advance the teaching and research profile of the university
  • Engage in improving the internationalization of teacher education at the university
Requirements
  • Completed teaching degree with the subject of biology (first and, if possible, second state examination)
  • Subsequent doctorate with a focus on subject didactics
  • Experience in the successful acquisition of third-party funds (for the Tenure Track Professorship)
  • International visibility and a high degree of commitment in the field of academic teaching
