Professorship in Chemistry Didactics

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a Professorship in Chemistry Didactics position at Philipps-Universität Marburg. This tenure track professorship is a unique opportunity for a researcher to establish an independent scientific profile and contribute to the development of subject didactics in the STEM subjects.
Key Responsibilities- Teach chemistry didactics, including modules on school internships and their coordination and further development.
- Conduct didactic research related to scientific reasoning or scientific literacy, with a connection to the scientific focus areas of the Department of Chemistry.
- Participate in the acquisition of cooperation projects with the subject areas of the department.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and research development in the STEM subjects.
- Engage in the Student Research Center Mittelhessen to inspire young people to pursue interests in the STEM fields.
- A completed teaching degree with the subject of chemistry (first and, if possible, second state examination).
- A subsequent doctorate with a focus on subject didactics.
- Experience in the successful acquisition of third-party funds is considered an asset.
