Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PhD candidate to join our team at the Universitätsmedizin Essen. The successful candidate will work on fascinating projects such as "Sphingolipids in cell intrinsic immunity" and have the opportunity to develop their own research profile.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the field of immunology, virology, or oncology
  • Develop and implement research projects
  • Collaborate with international teams
  • Present research findings at conferences and publish in scientific journals

Requirements

  • University degree (master or diploma) in (Bio-)medical Sciences or a closely related study subject
  • Strong interest and profound knowledge in immunology, virology, or oncology
  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and team-oriented
  • Experience in molecular biology (cloning, protein-biochemistry, and/or 3D structural analysis) is an advantage
