Lead Supervisor in Financial Risk Inspections

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Supervisor to join our team at the European Central Bank. As a Lead Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the consistent application of risk assessment methodologies and high-quality outputs in line with applicable regulations and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Asset Quality Reviews as a lead supervisor in the centralised Quality Assurance function.
- Review and draft policy-related, methodological, and operational documents.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, delegate tasks, manage deadlines, and deliverables.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration across DG-OMI and ensure sound cooperation with other Directorate Generals at the ECB.
- Provide technical mentoring to and coach team members, and individuals on a technical level.
Requirements
- A master's degree or equivalent in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, physics, or another relevant field.
- A minimum of six years' relevant professional experience in the field of risk analysis/assessment at a banking supervisory authority, financial institution, audit, or consultancy company and/or central bank.
- Sound understanding of the risks related to credit risk modelling and corresponding techniques for its assessment.
- Professional experience in handling and analysing large data sets.
- Sound understanding of European prudential regulation.
- Communication and presentation skills gained in a multicultural environment.
Working Modalities
Working for European banking supervision might involve spending periods of time in banks for on-site missions. Hybrid approaches including time spent on-site in banks and remotely are fully embedded in our on-site supervisory culture.
