Lead Supervisor in Financial Risk Inspections

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Supervisor to join our team at the European Central Bank. As a Lead Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the consistent application of our Asset Quality Reviews manual and delivering high-quality outputs in line with applicable regulations and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Asset Quality Reviews as a lead supervisor, ensuring a consistent application of the AQR manual and high-quality outputs.
- Review and draft policy-related, methodological, and operational documents, supporting more junior colleagues on the application of supervision or oversight policy, methodology, and standards.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, delegate tasks, manage deadlines and deliverables, prioritize output and resource allocation, provide guidance, clarify expectations, and set standards.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration across DG-OMI and ensure sound cooperation with other Directorate Generals at the ECB.
- Provide technical mentoring to and coach team members, and individuals on a technical level, building subject matter expertise and providing performance feedback.
Requirements
- A master's degree or equivalent in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, physics, or another relevant field.
- A minimum of six years' relevant professional experience in the field of risk analysis/assessment at a banking supervisory authority, financial institution, audit, or consultancy company and/or central bank.
- Sound understanding of the risks related to credit risk modeling and corresponding techniques for its assessment.
- Professional experience in handling and analyzing large data sets.
- Sound understanding of European prudential regulation.
- Communication and presentation skills gained in a multicultural environment and the ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, staff, and external consultants.
- An advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU.
Working Modalities
As a Lead Supervisor, you will work in a hybrid environment, alternating between on-site missions in banks and remote work. You will be part of a multinational and multicultural team, collaborating in the context of different national frameworks. A strong ability to use different EU languages for business purposes is an asset.
