Director of Strategic Financial PartnershipsAbout the Team:
We are seeking a visionary leader in Cloud Financial Management, a pivotal area within our organization.
In this impactful position, you will report directly to the CFO and oversee a talented team of 15 professionals. Your role will be to enhance collaboration among technology, finance, and business units to facilitate informed spending decisions and optimize the value derived from cloud investments. As the primary authority on global cloud financial practices, including Chargeback Processes, Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting, and Cost Optimization, you will have the chance to guide the business towards financial excellence. You will also be tasked with securing business case approvals, promoting a culture of cost-awareness at the intersection of Finance, Business, and Technology.

Leadership Duties:
As an expert in Cloud Financial Management Strategy, you will shape and direct the Cloud Financial Management function while serving as a mentor to junior colleagues.You will provide strategic insights for Cloud initiatives and be recognized as a trusted advisor by senior leadership.With a collaborative approach, you will promote best practices and uphold the highest standards within the technology community.Your responsibilities will include evaluating technology business cases and ensuring the financial viability of technical investments in partnership with the CTO and investment committee.You will also oversee comprehensive financial planning and analysis, budget formulation, monthly planning, and forecasting for the Technology Organization.Take on the challenge of supporting the PLC from a financial analysis and oversight perspective, while monitoring key investment projects managed by the Technology Organization.Define, Lead, and Influence Cloud Financial Management Strategy
Lead and shape Cloud strategy informed by financial models, quantifying the benefits of cloud application deployment.Establish strategy and processes for managing the Cloud operating budget.Own all Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and economic activities for the Cloud Financial Management team.Influence senior leaders regarding the economic advantages of cloud computing.Develop Guidelines and Standards
Create and implement a standardized TCO framework and dynamic analytical models for the Cloud Financial Management team.Establish guidelines for Reserve Instances, On-demand, and Spot Instances.Implement measures to optimize cost performance.Enhance alert systems for unexpected cost increases within billing cycles.Financial Cost Modeling Leadership
Manage the costing model, encompassing Cloud infrastructure, personnel, and training expenses.Design cost and revenue models and forecasts for budget evaluations.Refine Cost Allocation Models and TCO Cost Estimation processes.Evaluate the comparative costs of cloud application deployment.Financial Oversight and Management
Present business reviews to senior management regarding progress and challenges related to TCO.Report cloud service consumption costs to business application owners for chargeback to respective business units.Forecast cloud expenses for business application owners to aid in the budgeting process.Financial Tracking and Monitoring Leadership
Develop and manage a reporting and tracking system for all TCO-related activities.Collaborate with Cloud Architects to enhance cost performance and establish a financial framework for cloud migration opportunities.Identify and leverage opportunities for cost optimization.About the Ideal Candidate:
Required Qualifications:
10-15 years of relevant experience, including exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and cloud computing technologies.In-depth knowledge of technology infrastructure, including networking, computing, storage, and virtualization.Experience in developing IaaS and PaaS solutions within complex legacy IT environments.Familiarity with data center economics, migration, and refresh cycles.Experience collaborating with senior business and IT stakeholders on business case analysis, TCO solutions, and cost optimization strategies.Extensive background in financial modeling and analysis of large-scale IT infrastructure investments.Experience in establishing and operating financial control systems, including cloud cost analysis and financial reporting.Proficiency in tools for billbacks and showbacks.Competencies:
