About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Trading Manager to join our team at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute RWEST's participation in European daily spot auctions at various exchanges
  • Participate in power market auctions of cross-border transport capacities
  • Prepare and submit electricity schedules to grid and transmission system operators within regulatory frames
  • Manage and optimize commodity logistics (transport/delivery)
  • Ensure activities are in accordance with legal, regulatory, and country-specific requirements
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services for third-party customers
  • Support the integration of Renewables assets into the CAO process/system landscape and new market development
  • Collaborate with Embedded-IT teams to develop and improve the IT environment
Requirements
  • Completed degree in engineering, business administration, or economics with relevant further qualifications
  • Basic knowledge in power trading and/or cross-border trading, balancing group management, and commodity scheduling business
  • Expertise in the European energy market design and regulatory market communication rules
  • Strong communication and team working skills with high personal commitment and motivation
  • Proven experience and willingness to work independently, even under pressure
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, market participants, grid operators, and service providers
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Experience in using standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Acceptance of weekend and statutory holiday work, as well as flexible working time
