About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our US operations and drive the growth of our battery lifecycle management business. As Country Lead, Business Development - USA, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key players in the battery industry, including manufacturers, recyclers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for our battery lifecycle management services in the USA, including identifying and targeting new market segments, developing sales and marketing campaigns, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of sales, customer success, and account management professionals to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to our clients and the achievement of sales targets.
  • Business Growth: Drive the growth and expansion of the circular battery trade by promoting the benefits of our services and demonstrating the value of a circular battery economy.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments, and adapt our strategies and offerings to remain competitive and compliant in the US market.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with EU regulations, data security, and privacy policies to maintain the integrity and security of our clients' data.
  • Industry Representation: Represent our company as the face of the organization in the USA by engaging in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand awareness and demonstrate high leadership qualities.
  • Performance Measurement: Develop and maintain a robust performance measurement system to track and analyze the effectiveness of strategies and ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role within the battery industry, executing automotive business, selling high-end technology solutions, preferably in a regional or country-level position.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience working with automotive and/or battery players: Mobility OEMs, Tier-1s, system integrators, EV players, Energy Storage Companies, Recyclers, or within the Second Life Market of Lithium-Ion Batteries.
  • Business Acumen: Experience in managing complex projects and achieving ambitious targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team Management: Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with EU regulations, data security, and privacy practices.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within the US and EU region.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GreenTech Experience: Experience in GreenTech startups, IoT, or Energy is an advantage.
  • Account Management: Knowledgeable in acquiring and managing key accounts.
  • Technical Understanding: Technical understanding is a plus.
  • Automotive Interest: Interest in Automotive/Cars/E-Vehicles is a plus.
