Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Development Manager Process Industries to join our team. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for global sales responsibility for Process Industry, lateral leadership of sales and service colleagues in subsidiaries within a matrix organization, and strategy development and execution to enable sales teams to grow in focus applications/products/customers and increase market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global sales strategies to drive growth in Process Industry
  • Lead and manage sales and service teams in subsidiaries to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Application Engineering, Tribology, R&D, Product Management, and Marketing to bring superior solutions to market
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Process Industry
  • Manage and execute global growth initiatives to replace competition
  • Evolve value selling argumentation and training for sales teams
  • Provide application and product training, consulting, and support for sales teams, end-users, and OEMs
  • Scout and multiply success stories from regions
  • Ensure alignment with company goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Completed engineering degree or commercial degree with strong technical background
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in Process Industry
  • Experience in sales, marketing, key account management in an international environment
  • Experience in working in a matrix organization, ideally on local and global level
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Excellent business English skills (written and verbal), additional languages preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (ca. > 25% of time)
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter, willing to challenge the status quo
