Job Title: Customs Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Manager to join our team at DöhlerGroup. As a key member of our global trade compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are compliant with customs and excise regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Optimize our products by adapting and changing recipes in compliance with customs and excise regulations
  • Provide support and guidance to our specialist departments on customs tariff law
  • Classify products using the master data material system in SAP and monitor classified products in cooperation with Sourcing, Production, Quality, and RPD
  • Systematically check the tariff classification of active materials and apply for (non)binding tariff information from customs authorities
  • Develop and implement an automated tariff classification system as part of a global tariff classification tool and embed it in SAP
  • Assess internal and external company processes with regard to customs tariff and excise tax aspects
  • Document process steps in our internal company system and drive quality and optimization in your area of responsibility
  • Work on projects to further automate processes in the area of customs, foreign trade, and excise tax law, tax warehouse processing, and preference calculation

Your Profile:

  • Sound professional experience in development, quality assurance, or production, ideally from the food industry
  • Product knowledge and expertise in recipe management
  • Knowledge of customs law and tariff classification or a willingness to learn
  • Experience in European excise law is a plus
  • Successful project experience and proficiency in SAP, ideally with GTS
  • Proactive and analytical working method, with excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in German and English
