Key Responsibilities

As a proficient engineering technician, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing intricate project assignments across various mechanical and electrical engineering domains. Your role will involve:

1. **Project Management**: Overseeing entire projects or segments of larger initiatives, conducting analytical studies, and applying creative engineering solutions.
2. **Collaboration**: Working closely with engineers and technicians from different engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project development.
3. **Specification Development**: Coordinating and integrating specifications related to various engineering fields, ensuring compliance with host nation construction and environmental regulations.
4. **Field Investigations**: Conducting site surveys to gather technical data, assessing existing conditions, and determining project requirements.
5. **Cost Estimation**: Preparing detailed designs and specifications for bidding, calculating costs, and ensuring accuracy in documentation to prevent misunderstandings.
6. **Contract Management**: Independently performing all aspects of Contracting Officer Representative duties and technical management for installed equipment contracts.
7. **Lifecycle Analysis**: Conducting life cycle cost analysis to maintain predictive maintenance schedules and manage equipment replacement effectively.
8. **Compliance Inspections**: Visiting construction sites to ensure adherence to plans and specifications, providing solutions for unforeseen construction challenges.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

- **Education**: A Meister Diploma or Staatlich geprüfter Techniker in a relevant field, or a degree in engineering with related experience.
- **Experience**: A minimum of 2-3 years of job-related experience in engineering, with a focus on advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in office automation and a valid German driver's license (class B) is preferred.
- **Language Proficiency**: Required proficiency in English (B2) and German (C1).
