Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the design of electric machines for hybrid aerospace applications
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of electric machine designs and their integration into propulsion systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in electric propulsion design and testing
  • Assist in the conceptual development of electric drive systems for hybrid applications
Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in electrical machines within an industrial context
  • In-depth design expertise in permanent magnet generators/motors, with a solid understanding of electromagnetics, thermal dynamics, mechanical aspects, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in electric machine design and modeling tools, including ANSYS, Matlab/Simulink, Python, and CAD software
  • Leadership experience in ensuring the safety of electrical and mechanical systems, along with validation of electric machine technologies through prototyping and testing
  • Knowledge of converter operations, high-voltage electrical insulation, and system integration of electric drives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of guiding teams and suppliers effectively
