Marine Mechanic / Engine Technician for Fleet Maintenance
Your Responsibilities
- Executing maintenance and inspection tasks on the vessels and machinery of the Hamburg Port Authority, with an emphasis on engine systems.
- Conducting minor repairs on-site as needed.
- Performing troubleshooting and preliminary assessments to prepare for external service engagements.
- Cooperating with service partners associated with the Hamburg Port Authority.
- Assisting Technical Inspectors in defining repair requirements during dry-docking periods.
- Occasionally undertaking service and repair assignments in the northern German region, primarily around Cuxhaven.
Your Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, engine fitter, or agricultural machinery mechanic, preferably with experience in maintaining marine diesel engines and expertise in engine systems.
- Willingness to engage in further training tailored to the responsibilities at Hamburg Port Authority.
- Possession of a class B driving license is advantageous.
- Unrestricted physical capability to work on water and aboard the vessels and equipment of the Hamburg Port Authority.
- Strong enthusiasm and collaborative spirit.
- Ability to work independently and achieve excellent results under demanding conditions.
