Project Manager Quality Vehicle and Maturity Management

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Mercedes-Benz. As a Project Manager Quality Vehicle and Maturity Management, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and maturity of our vehicles throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent quality interests in the overall project and ensure the achievement of our quality goals
  • Continuously evaluate and transparently present the project readiness level in all phases of the development process, including the coordination of KPIs, milestones, and product-gate evaluations
  • Organize and control committees, such as the maturity working group, maturity project weeks, and pit stops
  • Actively control the quality approval process with the aim of a customer-friendly and timely quality release
  • Control maturity-critical issues by deriving measures together with our project partners
  • Closely cooperate with project partners from development, start-up factory, production, supplier quality, and sales as well as the respective internal quality partners (project manager quality technology, plant quality management)
  • Transparently prepare the cross-project maturity level through early management of all project areas as well as quality departments in the relevant committees
  • Develop new cross-sectoral quality methods and procedures based on the experience gained
  • Cross-functional and cross-departmental management of projects with different project partners
Requirements
  • Completed studies in a technical course of study (mechanical engineering, business administration, industrial engineering, or similar)
  • High affinity for vehicles and in-depth understanding of technical components and systems
  • Experience in project management and/or maturity and quality management
  • Strong problem-solving skills & ability to quickly understand complex situations
