We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our digital power applications team at Microchip Technology, Inc. As a senior member of our team, you will work with a global team to define, develop, and test Model-Based solutions for various digital power applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct system modeling, simulations, and analysis to translate solutions to hardware
- Perform functional testing using hardware-in-the-loop and firmware-in-the-loop
- Implement automated code generation, unit testing, and verification
- Develop and review peripheral models for specific microcontrollers
- Enhance modeling capabilities, processes, and tools for expediting release of applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate into system models
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Master's degree with 6+ years
- Expert knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink, Coder, Simscape, etc.
- Fundamental knowledge of power converter topologies and control theory
- Understanding of Microcontroller Architecture, C/ASM Programming Experience
- Basic understanding of ASPICE, MISRA standards
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials effectively and produce good quality engineering documentation
