Security Operations Manager

Job Overview:
The Security Operations Manager will oversee and execute day-to-day operations to ensure the physical safety and security of SAP employees, facilities, and assets. This role will manage customer engagement, knowledge management, quality assurance, and organizational learning. The Security Operations Manager will also foster programs to transfer relevant knowledge across organizational boundaries, as directed by their line manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall physical security support and direction to multiple SAP business locations, maintaining a site-by-site overview of budgeting, spend, existing conditions, contact data, and location-specific information.
- Conduct physical building security risk assessments, surveys, and physical penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Manage contract security services, including the development and implementation of Building Security Operations Manuals at all sites.
- Oversee electronic security systems and vendors, including electronic access control, badging, visitor management, security video, intrusion detection systems, and control center operations.
- Execute the planning, design, bid, construction, and commissioning activities for multiple concurrent projects, overseeing all aspects of physical security related to these projects.
- Assess and implement personnel protection programs, consisting of Travel Safety & Security, Events, Personal Protection, and Workplace Violence.
- Liaise with a Security Operations Center and oversee 24/7 activities.
- Provide training and employee security awareness programs to ensure a culture of security within the organization.
- Conduct internal investigations as needed and oversee physical security incident reporting and resolution.
- Present physical security services to stakeholders as required.
- Partner with SAP Health and Safety programs to ensure emergency responses are established and maintained.
- Report on physical security strategy and metrics (KPIs) to senior management.
- Review and manage SLAs and KPIs related to incident reporting, alarm management, and identity access management.
- Maintain close relationships with law enforcement and emergency responders.
- Maintain plans and engage as required in crisis response within the regional area of responsibility.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in the physical security industry or equivalent (military, law enforcement, etc.) or 3 years' minimum experience in corporate physical security.
- 3 years of direct experience in the majority of the key responsibilities above.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- CPP certification preferred.
- Foreign language skills preferred.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
