About the Role:
The Sub-Regional Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of physical security for SAP's Germany-based facilities. This role will ensure the safety and security of employees, buildings, and assets, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute physical security programs, including risk assessments, security surveys, and penetration testing.
- Develop and implement building security operations manuals and manage contract security services.
- Oversee electronic security systems, including access control, badging, visitor management, security video, and intrusion detection systems.
- Plan, design, bid, construct, and commission physical security projects, including new construction and renovation.
- Assess and implement personnel protection programs, including travel safety and security, events, personal protection, and workplace violence.
- Liaise with the Security Operations Center and oversee 24/7 activities.
- Provide training and employee security awareness programs.
- Conduct internal investigations and oversee physical security incident reporting and resolution.
- Partner with SAP Health and Safety programs and ensure emergency responses are established.
- Report on physical security strategy and metrics (KPIs).
- Review and manage SLAs and KPIs related to incident reporting, alarm management, and identity access management.
- Maintain close relationships with law enforcement and emergency responders.
- Maintain crisis response plans and engage as required in regional areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in the physical security industry or equivalent (military, law enforcement, etc.) or 3 years' minimum experience in corporate physical security.
- 3 years of direct experience in the majority of the key responsibilities above.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- CPP certification preferred.
- Foreign language skills preferred.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
