The Role

This position is integral to our operations at Abbott Diabetes Care. Our mission is to empower individuals with diabetes to take control of their health through innovative products that deliver precise data for informed decision-making. We are at the forefront of transforming glucose monitoring with our advanced sensing technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in the commercial strategy and reporting activities for Abbott Diabetes Care Germany, ensuring adherence to our high standards and timely execution.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team, demand planners, and country stakeholders to present a cohesive plan of commercial assumptions for our operations on a regular basis.
  • Facilitate communication and follow-up on commercial strategy topics with relevant stakeholders, including market access, sales, and finance, to highlight next steps and define action plans for seizing opportunities or mitigating risks.
  • Foster strong communication with regional partners to promote best practices and their impact on commercial models.
  • Work closely with Finance and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration with financial forecasting processes.
  • Continuously assess, refine, and enhance the set of KPIs necessary to support business planning and informed decision-making.
  • Equip departments with the necessary tools and support to effectively manage the planning and reporting processes.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and implement new tools, systems, and processes to streamline operations and enhance effectiveness.
  • Explore new business avenues to drive growth and expansion of relevant business segments, including assessing potential new sales channels and partnerships.
Required Qualifications:
  • University degree in business or a related scientific field. An advanced degree and prior experience in sales, marketing, finance, or similar areas is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in commercial or financial planning and reporting processes is essential.
  • Background in the medical industry is preferred, with a minimum of three years of experience in the pharmaceutical or diabetes sectors.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and concisely, adapting training, communication, and presentations for a diverse audience.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and objectives.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development, demonstrating potential for growth and readiness for roles with greater responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and familiarity with PowerBI is preferred.
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken, is required.
