Wireless Telecom Application Specialist

Position: Application Engineer ( Wireless Telecom for Homeland Security Business)
As a vital member of the Homeland Security Sales Organization, you will play a key role in strengthening our competitive edge in both established and emerging markets within the Homeland Security sector, including law enforcement, defense, and intelligence services.
Technical Responsibilities:
You will lead technical initiatives throughout the sales cycle, providing essential pre-qualifications related to Homeland Security solutions. Your role will include acting as the product champion for both new and existing offerings by acquiring in-depth knowledge of product functionalities, capabilities, competitors, and market dynamics. You will proactively identify sales opportunities and address the needs of both customers and the sales team.
Key Duties:
- Deliver technical support at trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events.
- Facilitate the seamless introduction of products to the sales team, ensuring the development of necessary marketing materials and training sessions.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance through engaging presentations and maintaining comprehensive technical knowledge of Homeland Security products.
- Support sales efforts by identifying product applications and analyzing market trends.
- Disseminate technical information to sales personnel and clients, assist in customer training sessions, and provide post-sale support as needed.
- Manage technical responses for RFPs and tenders.
- Investigate alternative products and suggest technology integrations to boost sales.
- Prepare reports as required by management.
Essential Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Cellular Wireless Technologies (CDMA, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G).
- Strong background in government solutions (law enforcement, defense, intelligence).
- Established relationships and understanding of the government security customer base.
- Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications.
- Preferred familiarity with other wireless technologies.
- Ability to design and discuss tailored technical solutions.
- Strong technical presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness.

Education: A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in direct and indirect sales of test and measurement equipment or wireless telecommunications solutions for government and homeland security clients.
Languages: Fluency in both German and English is essential. Additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Portuguese) are a plus.
