Job Title: Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Wärtsilä Voyage. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our business through effective collaboration with product management, R&D, sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in the definition and implementation of our SaaS commercial model, including relevant processes and customer data governance practices.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive sales support materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to both internal sales teams and external customers.
  • Collaborate closely with product management to gain deep insights into product roadmaps, features, and updates.
  • Support in Voyage Services strategy and value proposition development and implementation ambitions.
  • Define and implement a model for SaaS business in close collaboration with portfolio management, continuous improvement managers, process owners, and other operating model stakeholders.
  • Develop customer-facing materials such as value proposition-driven product guides, tutorials, and demos that educate and engage our target audience.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all sales and customer-facing materials in line with Wärtsilä Branding Guidelines and Marine Marketing strategies.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for sales teams in collaboration with product management to ensure they have a thorough understanding of product features and updates.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine and improve sales support materials and related processes.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime or related industry.
  • Extensive experience in the SaaS domain.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing sales support materials that effectively communicate product value propositions.
  • Strong understanding of branding principles and ability to ensure consistency in messaging across various channels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear and compelling messages.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive alignment towards common goals.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to drive strategic decision-making.
