We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team at Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading geotechnical design and project management activities for hydropower projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Lead geotechnical design and project management activities for hydropower projects, including conceptual design, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and construction design.
- Develop and implement geotechnical investigation programs, including numerical modeling of structures in rock and soil, and specifying, supervising, and evaluating geotechnical investigation programs.
- Evaluate and analyze geotechnical conditions during construction, and develop design adaptations as needed.
- Conduct cost estimations and construction scheduling, and perform seismic hazard analysis.
- Develop and manage project plans, and lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians.
- Manage projects as Owner's Engineer during the execution phase, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering and/or Geotechnics.
- At least 10 years of experience in relevant engineering, with a strong background in geotechnical design and project management.
- Experience in design of underground and surface excavations, dams, and foundations for hydropower projects.
- Experience in seismic hazard analysis and seismic design of dams.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English, with good knowledge of French or other relevant languages.
- Ability to travel regularly to project countries.
