Army Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: The C-12/UC-35 Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of assigned aircraft and their subsystems to guarantee operational safety and compliance with aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and perform necessary repairs on C-12 King Air and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation aircraft.
- Possess a valid (FAA) A&P certificate to execute maintenance tasks.
- Maintain US Citizenship and a valid US Passport to secure the necessary US Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Execute quality maintenance in accordance with federal aviation regulations and military technical orders.
- Repair and replace structural components, including wings and fuselage, utilizing various tools and equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals and service bulletins to assess repair methods for malfunctioning components.
- Diagnose engine issues by examining for leaks and listening for operational irregularities.
- Inspect turbine blades for structural integrity.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to test engine functionality and identify malfunctions.
- Disassemble and evaluate parts for wear and defects, followed by necessary repairs or replacements.
- Perform additional maintenance tasks such as cleaning and servicing aircraft systems.
- May conduct repairs at line stations to ensure aircraft remain in safe operational condition.
- Specialize in the repair and modification of aircraft parts and assemblies.
- Carry out other assigned duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid (FAA) A&P certificate.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an A&P Aircraft Mechanic specifically with C-12/King Air and/or UC-35 Cessna aircraft.
- Completion of formal maintenance training or military training related to the assigned aircraft is preferred.
- Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance within the last 12 months is strongly preferred.
- Six (6) months of experience in flight line and overhaul & inspection is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance and facility credentials.
- Mechanic tools and toolbox are required, with tools properly marked.
- A valid US Passport is necessary for deployment.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk on various surfaces for extended periods.
- Capability to climb stairs, ramps, and ladders.
- Physical dexterity to handle tools and equipment effectively.
- May require lifting and carrying weights exceeding 50 pounds.
- Must be able to see and interpret technical information accurately.
- Ability to operate various machinery and tools safely.
- Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions.
- Travel to remote locations may be necessary.
