Aircraft Maintenance Specialist
The Aircraft Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and overhauling assigned aircraft and subsystems to ensure airworthiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical data and be able to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repair or replace faulty components.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aircraft systems, including engines, fuel systems, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Conduct inspections and repairs on aircraft structures, including wings, fuselage, and control surfaces.
- Use technical data to diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Seven (7) or more years' experience as an aircraft mechanic on UC35 and/or C-12 preferred.
- A&P License is required.
- Completion of formal maintenance training on assigned aircraft (C-12 King Air) is desired.
- Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent full-time experience in aviation maintenance with the assigned aircraft during the past 12 months.
- Six (6) months of flight line and overhaul & inspection experience.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a United States Secret Clearance.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
