Join KPMG in addressing the future challenges faced by our clients. Embrace the diversity of our inquiries and collaborate with us to make a significant impact. The International Standard on Quality Management 1 (ISQM 1) is a new benchmark relevant to all auditing firms providing services within its scope. As we implement this new standard, we aim to enhance the strength and effectiveness of our internal control system, focusing on improving our service delivery. All internal controls that form part of our 'System of Quality Management' (SoQM) are tested annually by an independent internal team from the Quality & Risk Management department.

Your Responsibilities
If you are passionate about risk management and wish to support the Quality & Risk Management sector, you can contribute preferably at the Berlin location:

  • Conduct control assessments (Testing) following KPMG's standardized methodological guidelines across the network.
  • Engage directly with our process and control owners to gather information regarding the controls to be tested and the underlying processes.
  • Document your testing activities and results exclusively in a digital format.
  • As far as compatible with your testing role, assist in addressing audit findings.
  • When necessary, support your team lead with reporting and management tasks.

Gain valuable insights into KPMG's quality assurance system, which you will contribute to in your role.

Your Profile
  • To become a Compliance Auditor (m/f/d) in internal Quality and Risk Monitoring, you should possess a completed university degree, preferably in business administration or economics.
  • You should have accumulated 2-3 years of experience in auditing or reviewing financial statements or in internal control system audits (ideally with SOX - 'Sarbanes Oxley' experience).
  • Experience in 'Risk and Compliance' is advantageous.
  • You should also have familiarity with corporate process landscapes, preferably from large enterprises.
  • Solid IT skills and a keen interest in engaging with the digitalization of work processes and audit tools are essential.
  • Attributes such as accountability, conflict resolution skills, initiative, and organizational and time management abilities are crucial. Additionally, the ability to remain objective while questioning and challenging is important.
  • Team spirit is essential: we work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams towards a common goal.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required to complete your qualifications.
