Your Future Role
As the Project Engineering Manager for Vehicle Integration, you will play a pivotal role in the transition to advanced digital technologies within the rail sector. Your responsibilities will include establishing optimized operational methodologies for necessary modifications to rolling stock, ensuring that vehicles effectively interface with cutting-edge digital systems. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of ETCS and ATO technologies across the German rail network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the project engineering managers responsible for signalling projects, both retrofit and new builds, focusing on ETCS onboard systems.
- Guarantee timely delivery while adhering to budgetary constraints and maintaining high-quality standards for our clients.
- Utilize Alstom's standardized products and deployment processes developed in our international centers.
In this capacity, you will coordinate engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle and serve as the primary technical liaison with clients. Your collaboration will extend to Alstom's signalling competence centers located in various countries.
About You
We prioritize enthusiasm and a proactive attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will enhance your success in this role:
- A completed university degree in a technical discipline such as rail vehicle technology or electrical engineering.
- Several years of experience in technical project management.
- Demonstrated expertise in signalling technology, particularly with PZB, LZB, and ETCS systems.
- Strong persuasive abilities and confidence in an international context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a diplomatic approach.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
