Head of Signalling Project Engineering

Your Future Role

As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee the project engineering managers responsible for signalling initiatives, including both retrofit and new construction projects involving the European Train Control System (ETCS). Your leadership will ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and maintenance of quality standards for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the project engineering team focused on signalling projects.
  • Guarantee on-time delivery while ensuring budget compliance and quality assurance.
  • Utilize Alstom's standard products and established deployment processes to enhance project outcomes.

In this role, you will coordinate engineering activities and serve as the primary technical liaison for clients. Your collaboration will extend to Alstom's signalling competence centers across various countries.

About You

We prioritize passion and a proactive attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will be beneficial:

  • A completed university degree in a technical field such as rail vehicle technology or electrical engineering.
  • Several years of experience in technical project management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in signalling technology, particularly with PZB, LZB, and ETCS systems.
  • Strong persuasive abilities and confidence in an international context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a diplomatic approach.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain organization.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
