Job Summary

ALTANA Management Services GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Excellence Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the methodical, strategic, and systemic development of our procurement organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global category management process in a matrix organization, collaborating with the global procurement community to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Lead a team of 6 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our procurement initiatives.
  • Optimize, digitize, and automate procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Establish and maintain a supplier management program, focusing on supply risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement a risk management strategy for procurement, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Implement the ALTANA forecast for the global raw materials portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely planning.
  • Design and deliver procurement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our procurement team.
  • Develop and maintain a cross-divisional target setting process in procurement, including KPI development, reporting, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement leadership, with a strong track record of driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Experience with category management, supplier management, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and systems, with the ability to optimize and automate processes.
