- Collect and unify cost data pertaining to field initiatives from various departments globally.
- Work closely with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Quality, After-Sales, Regional After Sales Teams, and Purchasing to ensure precise cost information.
- Spot opportunities for cost recovery associated with supplier and ESP challenges.
- Guide teams in gathering and documenting cost-related evidence.
- Deliver financial analysis and insights aimed at enhancing cost efficiency.
- Initiate chargebacks from suppliers and ESPs in collaboration with Purchasing and Finance.
- Reporting and Oversight:
- Define and enhance strategies, processes, and IT systems for efficient cost collection and evidence documentation across cross-functional teams.
- Analyze cost data and produce comprehensive reports for cost collection efforts.
- Monitor expenditures linked to field actions and recalls against budgetary constraints.
- Develop and implement best practices for cost control.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and quality regulations.
- Committee Participation and Decision Making:
- Engage in meetings and committees dedicated to field actions and recalls.
- Foster cross-functional communication and collaboration.
- Facilitate the execution of cost control measures and financial strategies.
- Contribution to Business Success:
- Establish effective processes and documentation to support negotiations with suppliers regarding cost recovery.
- Achieve high acceptance rates for supplier chargebacks in partnership with purchasing.
- Promptly escalate issues to ensure swift decision-making and reduce the lead time for cost recovery cycles.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in Quality Management within the Automotive Industry, particularly in field Quality.
- 5-7 years of expertise in cost management and recovery processes, including negotiations with third parties.
- Strong grasp of field actions, recalls, and related cost management.
- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Demonstrated teamwork and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- High empathy, excellent communication, motivational skills, and adaptability to diverse individuals and situations.
- Fluent in English.
