Contract Type: Freelance
Compensation: €1,000 - €1,200 per day based on experience
Contract Duration: Initial 3-month rolling contract with an anticipated project lifespan of over 12 months
CPS Group (UK) Limited is collaborating with a prominent international consultancy seeking a seasoned Lead Infrastructure Operations Manager on a freelance basis to contribute to a significant project.
Your role will involve overseeing the recruitment, development, and procedural design of the Infrastructure team, as well as spearheading the execution of operational practices (incident management, change management, support, etc.) to ensure that all operational standards, including high availability, are met.
You will play a crucial role in the overall success of the initiative by establishing the structural framework, procedural guidelines, and defining roles and responsibilities for the infrastructure operations team, adhering to ITIL, DevOps, and SRE principles and best practices.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience leading an infrastructure team in a critical high-availability setting (e.g., telecommunications, banking, or similar sectors)
- Proven experience managing teams of 10 or more personnel
- In-depth understanding of IT operations processes and ITIL methodologies
- Extensive knowledge of infrastructure and cloud technologies, including:
- Data center operations
- Networking (WAN, LAN, Routers, Firewalls)
- Computing hardware (Dell, HP)
- Storage solutions (NFS, Object)
- Virtualization technologies (Network, Compute, Storage)
- Kubernetes orchestration
- Cloud and cloud-native applications
- Fluency in English and German (minimum C1 level in both languages)
