We are seeking a People Partner (HR Business Partner) for Contract Logistics in Germany (m/f/d).

With substantial professional responsibilities, you will report functionally to the Lead People Partner DACHand and interact with multiple stakeholders within Maersk, particularly within the Contract Logistics (CL) domain. In a matrix organization, you will work alongside leaders, Strategic HR Business Partners, and the regional Front Line (FL) employee experience team to ensure timely and effective execution of agreed-upon people plans.
As a People Partner, you will collaborate closely with the Area Head of Fulfilled by Maersk (FbM) North Europe and site leaders to establish world-class Contract Logistics (CL) and landside capabilities that support and drive our transformation and Fulfilled by Maersk Strategy, which includes multiple site openings in the coming years. You will also spearhead the implementation of the People & Organisation strategy to attract, recruit, develop, and retain a diverse pool of top-tier talent with the necessary competencies, ensuring they operate within an optimized organizational structure that fosters an attractive, inspiring, and engaging culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership teams to co-manage the Contract Logistics (CL) & Landside people agenda, facilitating the anticipated exponential growth over the next five years.
- Partner with regional Fulfilled by Maersk (FbM) Leaders to define short and long-term objectives that drive business success, ensuring alignment with the respective people agenda.
- Serve as a partner and courageous coach to leaders and site managers, aiding them in developing impactful leadership skills. Drive succession planning for key roles and long-term talent development within their teams.
- Support leaders throughout the annual HR cycle and collaborate with deployment teams to facilitate the implementation of the annual HR cycle across the function.
- Promote a culture where Maersk behaviors and values are integrated into business decision-making processes.
- In conjunction with local Labour Relations experts, provide guidance on Industrial and Labour Relations, leveraging strong knowledge of Trade Unions and Workers Councils to mitigate risks and comply with local legislation.
- Assist leaders in building high-performing teams that are prepared for the future needs of the logistics organization, fostering a high-performance culture and addressing performance improvement requirements within their teams.
- Work collaboratively with regional HRBP to ensure timely and effective execution of agreed people plans. Influence global design teams to ensure alignment with the logistics organization and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with Rewards colleagues to ensure our compensation packages and structures are competitive and reflective of the market, particularly for specific segments of the skilled workforce.
- Proactively cultivate a culture of collaboration within the people function, contributing to projects that shape Maersk's future HR policies and processes based on both short- and long-term business needs.
Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience (8-10 years) as an HR generalist and/or People Partner, preferably within the logistics sector, with a deep understanding of HR fundamentals including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, development, and employee relations/local labor law.
- A solid background in managing frontline operational employees in leading organizations.
- Advanced knowledge of local labor laws and experience working in unionized settings.
- Resilience and maturity in navigating change and achieving results in challenging environments.
- Experience in large international organizations, with the ability to build relationships and navigate a complex stakeholder landscape.
- Strong business acumen and data analytics capabilities.
- Proficient change management, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Experience in a 'start-up' or entrepreneurial context is advantageous.
- A proactive approach, taking ownership and acting independently while fostering a collaborative working style to promote teamwork and solution-finding.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
