Additive Manufacturing Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Additive Manufacturing Application Engineer to join our team at Nikon SLM Solutions. As a key technical role, you will guide customers on their additive manufacturing adoption journey, providing technical guidance, consulting on design for additive manufacturing, and post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise across the additive manufacturing value chain to support the sale of Nikon SLM Solutions products
- Discuss the operation of Nikon SLM Solutions products with customers
- Develop strong relationships with customer contacts to enable effective engagement and execution
- Execute projects for customers from project scoping, proposal, printing, post processing, testing, and reporting
- Conduct advanced training programs at customer sites and at the headquarters in Lübeck
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- At least 2 years' previous experience, for senior 5+ years post-bachelor's experience in LPBF
- Desire to train others in the use of additive manufacturing and demonstrated passion for how additive manufacturing is successfully implemented
- Proven experience with part and data preparation software, such as Materialise Magics, Autodesk Netfabb, or equivalent software
- Exposure to root cause analysis and other problem-solving techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience presenting to customers
