Role Overview

The Vice President of Operations is tasked with the comprehensive oversight of safety, production, supply chain, quality assurance, and operational effectiveness within the company’s food manufacturing and distribution activities across Europe. This pivotal leadership position guarantees that all operations are executed in a secure, cost-efficient, and compliant manner while adhering to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety:
  • Ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Implement and supervise health and safety initiatives and training programs.
  • Guarantee adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Operational Leadership:
  • Manage the daily functions of the company’s production facilities.
  • Formulate and execute operational strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Supply Chain Management:
  • Oversee the complete supply chain process, including inventory management and distribution.
  • Optimize logistics to minimize costs and enhance delivery timelines.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance protocols to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with the QA team to resolve any quality concerns and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to meet financial objectives.
  • Prepare and present operational performance reports to the regional business leadership team.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing operations team.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and workforce planning to fulfill operational requirements.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Contribute to the formulation of the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and innovation.
  • Lead initiatives to expand production capacity and penetrate new markets.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering; Business Administration preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, ideally within the food sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

The minimum salary for this position is € 5,182.90 gross per month on a full-time basis (38.5 hours). A significant overpayment in accordance with your qualifications and experience is customary.
