Position Overview

The Vice President of Operations plays a crucial role in managing the safety, production, supply chain, quality assurance, and operational effectiveness of our food manufacturing and distribution activities throughout Europe. This pivotal leadership position ensures that all operations are executed in a secure, cost-efficient, and compliant manner while adhering to the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety:
    • Guarantee a safe working environment for all personnel.
    • Implement and supervise health and safety initiatives and training programs.
    • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee daily operations of production facilities.
    • Develop and execute operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage the complete supply chain process, including inventory control and distribution.
    • Optimize logistics to minimize costs and enhance delivery timelines.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain comprehensive quality assurance protocols to ensure product quality and consistency.
    • Collaborate closely with the QA team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective measures.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and oversee the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to meet financial objectives.
    • Prepare and present operational performance reports to regional leadership.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing operations team.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
    • Ensure adequate staffing levels and workforce planning to meet operational demands.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the formulation of the company's strategic goals and objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and innovation.
    • Lead initiatives to expand production capacity and explore new markets.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in operations management, ideally within the food sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management software.

The minimum salary for this position is € 5,182.90 gross per month for full-time employment (38.5 hours). A significant overpayment based on qualifications and experience is standard practice.
