Role Overview

The Vice President of Operations plays a pivotal role in managing the safety, production, supply chain, quality assurance, and operational effectiveness of our food manufacturing and distribution activities throughout Europe. This executive position guarantees that all operational processes are executed safely, economically, and in compliance with regulations, while upholding the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Health and Safety: Ensure a secure working environment for all personnel. Implement and supervise health and safety initiatives and training programs. Guarantee adherence to all health and safety legislation.
• Operational Leadership: Direct the daily functions of the company's production sites. Formulate and execute operational strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with food safety laws and industry benchmarks.
• Supply Chain Management: Oversee the comprehensive supply chain operations, including inventory control and distribution logistics. Streamline logistics to minimize costs and enhance delivery timelines.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and uphold stringent quality assurance protocols to maintain product integrity and uniformity. Collaborate closely with the QA team to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective measures. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Financial Management: Create and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Monitor financial performance and devise strategies to meet financial objectives. Prepare and present operational performance metrics to the regional leadership team.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing operations team. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Ensure adequate staffing and workforce planning to fulfill operational requirements.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the formulation of the company's strategic goals and objectives. Identify avenues for process enhancements and innovation. Spearhead initiatives to expand production capabilities and penetrate new markets.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or Business Administration.
• A minimum of 10 years in operations management, ideally within the food sector.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The minimum salary for this position is € 5.182,90 gross per month for a full-time role (38.5 hours). A significant overpayment based on qualifications and experience is standard practice.
