About the Role

Cofinity-X GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Test Cases: Create and execute test cases for various software applications, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
  • Perform Functional Testing: Conduct functional, regression, sanity, system, and End-to-End testing to ensure the software meets the required standards.
  • Develop Automated Test Scripts: Utilize frameworks like Cucumber, BDD, Rest-Assured, and web automation tools such as Cypress and Playwright to develop and execute automated test scripts.
  • Identify and Track Defects: Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with developers to resolve issues, improve software quality, and ensure test coverage and traceability of test cases to requirements.
  • Review and Analyze System Specifications: Review and analyze system specifications, user stories, and test results to ensure the software meets the required standards.
  • Document Test Results: Document test results and report on testing progress, including automated test coverage.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Educational background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Testing Experience: Proven experience in both manual and automated software testing.
  • Proficiency in Testing Techniques: Proficiency in testing techniques, manual testing tools, and automation frameworks.
  • API and Web Test Automation: Hands-on experience with APIs & web test automation tools and frameworks such as Rest-Assured, Cucumber, BDD, Cypress, and Playwright.
  • Bug Tracking and Test Management: Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray).
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring product quality.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
