Vendor Management Specialist

The Vendor Operations Manager is essential to enhancing our vendor management processes. In this capacity, you will oversee relationships with offshore partners to facilitate Omio's growth initiatives. Your expertise in project management and analytical thinking will enable you to propose effective solutions that align with service level agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction objectives. You will adopt a solution-driven approach to achieve measurable outcomes.
Team Structure
The Business Processing Outsourcing team is dedicated to delivering operational and analytical support across a wide range of functions, focusing on the management of offshore vendor performance, including oversight and administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate vendor partnerships to ensure adherence to compliance standards, optimal operational performance, and the fulfillment of business objectives as per SLAs and contractual obligations.
- Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for both new and existing vendors across diverse regions while ensuring SLAs are consistently met.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to meet performance metrics, uncover improvement opportunities, mitigate risks, and remove obstacles.
- Collaborate closely with your vendor team to meet critical daily, weekly, and monthly operational targets.
- Report to senior operations management regarding project statuses, objectives, and priorities.
- Identify additional tasks suitable for transition to the vendor team and manage the project for transitioning these tasks from other departments within Omio.
- Create ad-hoc reports and provide explanations for variances to pinpoint opportunities for performance enhancement.
- Analyze existing processes to identify core issues, devise strategies, and explore opportunities for improving vendor performance.
- Conduct analyses to highlight areas for improvement, efficiency gains, data quality enhancements, and forecast accuracy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders within Omio and the vendor.
- Oversee communication between vendors and internal teams.
- Act as the primary liaison for vendors and serve as the internal contact for cross-functional partners.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field, such as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), analytics, operations, or strategic management.
- Proven experience in a dynamic operations environment with a focus on enhancing performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and vlookup) and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop presentations.
- Strong skills in research, testing, and process improvement; adept at creating and analyzing business data, developing dashboards, and tracking key performance indicators with exceptional data management capabilities.
- Robust business acumen and the ability to engage with cross-functional leaders.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize competing demands.
- Exceptional analytical skills are essential.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical skills, and sound judgment.
- A collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
