Position Summary

We are in search of a Regional Sales Manager to enhance our European operations, focusing on expanding our engagement with both large and small accounts across the region. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Sales Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage regional forecasts and cultivate a robust pipeline within the designated territory, primarily centered on Central Europe.
  • Meet or surpass revenue objectives for Onto Innovation's product offerings within the assigned area.
  • Foster existing client relationships through regular interactions and identify opportunities for growth within new accounts or new departments in current accounts.
  • Comprehend customer needs and relay insights to internal teams, including sales management, marketing, product management, and development.
  • Lead customer projects, coordinating both internal and external efforts, including commercial, technical, and legal negotiations.
  • Participate in regular travel to the US for sales meetings, training sessions, and customer demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate records in the company’s CRM system regarding pipeline and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate strategic account plans for major clients, ensuring alignment with global teams for international accounts.
  • Oversee the quoting process with assistance from technical account managers and product management.

Work Environment

This position allows for remote work or can be based in a nearby Onto office. The primary focus will be on clients in Germany and Austria, with an emphasis on key accounts in this region.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • A university degree in a technical discipline with relevant commercial experience, or a degree in a commercial field with applicable technical experience.
  • A self-motivated, organized individual with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of the time across Europe.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities.
  • 3-15 years of experience in selling capital equipment within the semiconductor manufacturing sector, ideally in metrology or inspection, or related technical experience.
  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Frontend and/or Backend manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems such as SalesForce, SAP, or Oracle.
