Job Overview

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Technician (m/w/d) to join our team at OECHSLER. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade, set up, adjust, operate, and monitor equipment, including peripherals, to optimize production efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process optimizations, including corrective and preventive measures, to improve product quality and reduce downtime.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and inspection work to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Train employees on work instructions and onboard new employees to ensure a smooth transition.

Requirements:

  • Completion of training as a process technician for plastic and rubber technology or equivalent qualification with several years of relevant experience in the plastic processing industry.
  • Ability to use operational data acquisition and production planning systems to drive process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of measurement technology and quality control procedures to ensure product quality.
  • Diligent and independent work style with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Willingness to work in shifts to support 24/7 operations.
