Biogas Service Technician

Job Description

As a key member of our Technical Service team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our innovative biogas plants in southern and eastern Germany. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on biogas plant components
  • Installing and upgrading technical equipment
  • Supporting the commissioning of new biogas plants
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues
  • Coordinating on-site activities
  • Inspecting material deliveries for completeness
  • Providing customer support and serving as a liaison between the site and our headquarters
  • Recommending spare parts and reporting potential sales opportunities
  • Documented work, acceptance, changes, and inventory
  • Supervising external assembly workers
Requirements
  • Completed vocational training in a metalworking profession or equivalent background
  • Experience in a comparable position
  • Knowledge of plant engineering and automation
  • Welding skills (MAG, WIG)
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
  • Experience in reading plans, drawings, and R&I diagrams
  • Physical fitness and stamina (work with breathing apparatus), color vision, and sufficient visual acuity
  • Willingness to travel (weekends only by arrangement)
  • German language skills (written and spoken), English language skills an asset
