Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior Technology Project Manager (f/m/d) with the expertise and strategic insight to oversee large-scale, high-stakes projects that leverage SAP Next Generation solutions and cutting-edge technology. This role is crucial for the successful migration of our SAP systems to the cloud, enhancing scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project outputs within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage SAP-centric projects using the SAP Field Services Project Management Methodology, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance.
  • Coordinate efforts among various stakeholders, including third-party contractors and SAP Global Delivery teams.
  • Provide on-site support for SAP to guarantee effective project execution.

The ideal candidate (f/m/d) will possess a robust background in SAP technology, project management, and cloud migration strategies.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, natural sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience in roles such as SAP project manager (f/m/d) or SAP architect (f/m/d).
  • Proven IT Project Management skills, with proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, particularly in SAP project management.
  • Strong intercultural communication and team collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage virtual, multicultural teams.
  • In-depth knowledge in areas such as SAP infrastructure, integration, or development.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies and migration strategies from a technical viewpoint.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing diverse teams across global locations.
  • Fluent in both German and English, with strong presentation capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel for project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in upgrade/migration, provider transitions, or global rollout initiatives.
  • Familiarity with 'Rise with SAP' is advantageous.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP are desirable.
  • Expertise in SAP Activate implementation methodology and quality standards is a plus.
  • Experience working with offshore or nearshore teams is beneficial.
  • Relevant technology certifications are a plus.
