Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior Technology Project Manager (f/m/d) who possesses the expertise and business insight necessary to oversee large-scale, high-stakes strategic initiatives utilizing SAP Next Generation solutions and cutting-edge technology. This role is crucial for the successful migration of our SAP systems to the cloud, improving scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project and program outcomes within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage SAP-centric projects using the SAP Field Services Project Management Methodology, ensuring adherence to methodology, tools, procedures, and governance to achieve project goals, particularly in S/4HANA and Cloud transformations.
  • Coordinate efforts among various stakeholders, including third-party subcontractors, SAP Custom Development, and SAP Global Delivery.
  • Provide on-site support for SAP as necessary to guarantee effective project execution.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate (f/m/d) should have a robust background in SAP technology, project management, and cloud migration strategies.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, natural sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive relevant experience, such as a professional background as an SAP project manager (f/m/d) or SAP architect (f/m/d).
  • Proven track record of strong IT Project Management skills, including Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, with broad experience in SAP project management.
  • Excellent intercultural communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively manage a virtual, multicultural, and cross-functional team.
  • Deep knowledge in at least one of the following technical areas: SAP infrastructure, integration, or development.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud technology and migration concepts from a technical standpoint.
  • Capability to plan, facilitate, and support workshops and meetings with both internal and external clients.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders across various levels and organizations.
  • Experience in leading global, multi-shore delivery teams.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written communication, including presentation skills, in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in upgrade/migration, provider transition, or global rollout projects.
  • Familiarity with 'Rise with SAP' is advantageous.
  • Project management certification such as PMP or equivalent is desirable.
  • Expertise in SAP Activate implementation methodology and quality standards is a plus.
  • Experience working with offshore and nearshore resources.
  • Relevant technology certifications are beneficial.
