Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Director to lead our scientific field sales team in the region of Schwerin, Wolfsburg, Braunschweig, Magdeburg, Dessau, and Cottbus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and developing a high-performing team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow a high-performing sales culture in the region, leading a team of 8-12 sales professionals with direct supervision and responsibility.
  • Active leadership and continuity of the team, prioritizing and clarifying tasks with team members.
  • Implementation of visit targets in segmented customer target groups and implementation of the use of supporting marketing materials for the respective visit cycle.
  • Efficiency improvement for customers, employees, and management.
  • Preparation and implementation of regular reporting to the responsible National Sales Lead.
  • Active participation in the development and implementation of regional goals and strategies, including patient-centered measures.
  • Coordination of interdisciplinary activities (e.g., with MSL and KAM) and coordination of the care of external experts and networks.
  • Responsibility for the steering and support of sales employees regarding the distribution, adherence to, and implementation of individually defined sales targets, defined cost budgets, and resources.
  • Ensuring all administrative tasks of the subordinate sales employees (e.g., visit and sample documentation).
  • Implementation of the marketing strategy through close cooperation with the responsible marketing team.
  • Fostering, development, and coaching of employees, e.g., in the context of accompanying visits and individualized development planning in cooperation with the training department. Setting up training measures to maintain and expand the qualifications of subordinate employees and conducting regular feedback conversations and performance evaluations with subordinate employees.
  • Planning, implementation, and follow-up of regional conferences and active participation in sales conferences as well as internal and external national and international conferences and congresses and independent initiation and implementation of events for the training of doctors, patients, caregivers, and nurses in accordance with legal requirements and compliance.
  • Regular analysis of market development (sales, potential, absorption) and competitor observation.
  • Checking the compliance of subordinate employees.

Requirements

  • Pharmaceutical representative qualification according to § 75 Arzneimittelgesetz (desirable completion of a natural sciences degree, ideally a doctorate).
  • Proven success in building and leading high-performance teams in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Desirable profound experience in the dermatology and biologics market.
  • Several years of experience as a pharmaceutical consultant.
  • Excellent knowledge of sales force automation systems (e.g., Veeva) and MS Office applications.
  • Experience in the moderation area (presentation skills, didactics).
  • Fluent English skills in speech and writing.
  • Good business and health policy knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel (driver's license class B required).
