As an Electronics Technician with U.S. Army Europe and Africa, you will be responsible for testing, installing, reconditioning, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical malfunctions in target lifting systems. You will use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals to repair or replace parts such as relays, switches, rectifiers, diodes, and other components. Your work will involve fabricating and repairing sensor cable assemblies, testing and installing electrical target systems, and replacing and repairing electrical wiring, battery cables, suppression boards, and other parts. You will also be responsible for inspecting and repairing thermal heating cabling, making modifications to electronic equipment to meet or exceed DIN and VDE standards, and maintaining complete records of preventive and emergency maintenance and test data.

Requirements
  • Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade
  • 5 years of specialized experience
  • Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent
  • 8 years of specialized experience of which 3 years must have been performed at the wage group 5 or equivalent level
Language Proficiency

German Language Proficiency level B2 required

Working Conditions

Shift work required. Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
