Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing commercial expertise and guidance to our project managers and engineers, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Manage and coordinate the commercial aspects of our projects, including contract administration, cost control, and risk management.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability and minimize risk.
• Provide commercial input to project planning and execution, ensuring that commercial objectives are aligned with project goals.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial requirements are met and that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage and mentor junior commercial staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial interests are represented and that projects are delivered to the highest standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that our commercial practices are aligned with industry standards.

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial role, with a strong track record of delivering commercial success.
• Excellent commercial skills, including contract administration, cost control, and risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex commercial data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure commercial objectives are met.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in a relevant field or a professional certification in quantity surveying or a related field.
