POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Financial Planning Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Commercial division by collaborating closely with Sales and Customer Category Management (CCM) teams. This position is responsible for delivering insightful recommendations, conducting thorough analyses, and integrating data to facilitate informed decision-making for both short-term and long-term strategies. Additionally, the role supports key initiatives and assists in the budgeting and forecasting processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytical and Business Support

  • Oversee the Customer Business Management (CBM) system, aiding the Commercial team in establishing and maintaining customer agreements and promotional activities, while ensuring collaboration with Key Account Managers to define and monitor conditions in the ERP system for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide assistance to the external accounting team in the processing and precise allocation of customer invoices.
  • Collaborate with CFP&A management to plan and execute price negotiations from a Commercial Finance perspective, delivering valuable financial scenario analyses.
  • Aid the Commercial and CCM teams during the budgeting and forecasting phases to develop proposals and inputs for Trade Term & Promo Investments budgets.
  • Regularly maintain and update data across various customer portals, ensuring all information remains current and accurate.

Reporting Duties

  • Assist in the monthly Top Line closing process (Turnover, Net Sales) by providing necessary report data to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc commercial reports for stakeholders.
  • Support the Trade Promotion Management (TPM) agenda by tracking issues and needs for system enhancements, acting as a local expert (super user) to continuously educate the Commercial and CCM teams on best practices related to the TPM tool.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sales Analyst or in a FP&A/Controlling role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with advanced commercial insight.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

Functional and Technical Skills

  • Proficient technical skills in Business Intelligence (BI) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) are required; familiarity with TPM tools and SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
