Your Responsibilities:
Oversee the Electrical Design Team
- Inspire, guide, and mentor team members.
- Provide expert support in Electrical design, including circuit diagrams, BOM, component selections, and scripts.
- Engage in the design of other significant systems and components within vehicle engineering.
- Organize and plan activities for the Electrical Team.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure quality standards.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as time tracking and travel approvals.
Act as the primary liaison for Electrical Engineering during locomotive manufacturing and commissioning.
- Assist manufacturing to facilitate necessary modifications.
- Support commissioning efforts to implement essential changes.
- Establish key connections between members of the TRG Electrical design team and technical leads.
Development and Engineering:
- Create circuit diagrams, clamping points, and operational materials.
- Design electrical cabinets and manage electrical equipment.
- Serve as an expert in CAD E3 and lead sub-projects for electrical components in new locomotives.
Management of Electrical Design:
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
- Guarantee compliance with all necessary norms, standards, homologation, and safety regulations.
- Uphold internal and statutory rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Develop and implement initiatives for cost reduction.
- Lead design engineering efforts in collaboration with other Toshiba design teams.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, preferably with a focus on railway applications.
- Familiarity with relevant EU standards, norms, and safety requirements in electrical and safety design.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience or demonstrable knowledge in system design for electrical installations, ideally within the railway industry.
- Experience with the interface between converter and control systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of requirements engineering and systems thinking (V-model).
- Proficient in addressing technical customer inquiries with effective problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage relationships with external partners.
- Proven experience in team leadership.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes.
- Fluent in German (minimum B2 level).
- Fluent in English (minimum B1 level).
- Strong teamwork capabilities.
- Results-oriented mindset.
- Comprehensive systems understanding and conceptual thinking.
